Put a Penguin On It

Today’s book is Bold Expressive Painting by Annie O’Brien Gonzales:

Working from her “Still Life Collage Study” chapter, I created this background by pasting various papers over the entire surface, painting it with white acrylic paint and then wiping some of the paint off with a baby wipe:

This is how I finished it:

Do you see the torn black and white tissue paper on the right side?  I had a penguin on my desk that my grandson drew.  I cut it out and covered the mistake:

I may work on this more later 🙂
